Repair

With 88 keys, over 200 strings and hundreds of moving parts, there are many circumstances that can occur which require repair.  Parts break or wear out, foreign objects fall into (or onto) the piano, you name it, it has probably happened.

Minor repairs can usually be done in the home within the time constraints of a routine tuning service call.  Sometimes the repair needed requires more time and a separate appointment.  And then there are cases where, due to the severity of the problem, major part replacement may become a necessity.  This is when the owner may have to consider either rebuilding/reconditioning or replacement.  Age and amount of use will be the primary factors in what to fix and how to fix it.  With some pianos, even newer ones, the cost of the repair should be balanced with the value of the piano.
